We have worked on our upcoming EP so much! We cannot wait to show you this labor of fun. We’re currently in the mastering phase and hope to get out our first song to you by June. The song, “The Tiki Hut Song,” is the perfect little summer ditty that will get you singing along for the less than two minute run-time. It’s amazing to me (it’s Mimi writing, by the way) that a teeny EP could take so much time to produce.
The actual recording session took 10 hours from drums to vocals. This, obviously, preceded by many Mondays of rehearsal to make sure we could get it down. We also spent time coming up with release dates, are still discussing what formats we are releasing it as, and figuring out where we are going to distribute it. There is a lot that goes into this and I think we are handling it wonderfully.
We will definitely keep you posted with all the information leading up to the first release and where you can find the songs! In the mean time, check out our live shows! I’m playing my upright bass out (finally), we’re playing the new songs, and we want to see your faces.
