This past week has been a test of our patience as Tommy and I fell sick. It got me thinking of all the ways I’ve played gigs despite ailments. I’ve played on crutches, I’ve played with strep, I’ve played in a wheelchair…

The wheelchair gigs were an adventure. St. Thomas is not handicap accessible by any means and I was carried upstairs to play my gig. I felt like a princess in a sedan. It was wild, but I wasn’t going to miss the show! People were depending on us. We won’t let them down! The best part was going down the stairs. Someone threw me over their shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Whatever gets the job done, I suppose.

Tonight (3/7/25), we have a gig with Brittany Baldwin and we might be a bit under the weather, but it won’t affect our show at all! Prepare to see all the antics you’ve come to expect from Tommy & Mimi. We just won’t be hugging as much.

As the old adage states: the show must go on!
